Is the removal cost estimate accurate?
The calculator provides an estimated moving cost, not a guaranteed final price. The final quote may change depending on access, parking, stairs, packing requirements, dismantling, waiting time, move date and any extra services needed.
What information do I need to use the calculator?
You need to add the main furniture, boxes and items you are moving, along with the collection and delivery locations. The more accurate your item list is, the more useful the estimated removal cost will be.
Does the removals cost calculator include packing services?
The cost of packing service is not included. If you need full packing, fragile packing, or removal boxes, this can be added to your quote separately.
Does the moving budget calculator include storage or furniture dismantling?
No. The price for using our storage services will depend on the volume you want to store and the storage period.
The dismantling of the furniture is too complex and will be very inaccurate without knowing the type and brand of the furniture.
Can the price change on moving day?
The price can change if the item list is incomplete, access is more difficult than expected, parking is unavailable, the walking distance is longer, extra items are added, or waiting time is required. A clear item list and accurate access details help avoid unexpected costs.
Can I use the house moving costs calculator for flat removals?
Yes, the calculator can be used for flat removals, house removals and small office moves. For flats, it is important to consider stairs, lift access, parking distance and whether furniture needs to be carried through shared entrances or narrow hallways. This additional information is not included and needs to be discussed with our customer service team before we can provide a moving quote.
Do I still need a survey after using the removals calculator?
For larger moves, complex access or high-value items, a home or video survey is still recommended. A survey helps confirm the volume, access, packing needs and correct team size before giving a more accurate fixed quote.
What should I do after using the moving van cost calculator?
After receiving your estimated removal cost, we will review the information you submitted and contact you within our office working hours to confirm the information and add the missing information, so we can give the best advice.
